How to find business internet providers in your area
Searching for providers in your area returns the companies with the biggest marketing budget, not the ones that can reach your building.
Coverage maps are marketing, service is street level
A carrier that lists your city may have no facility on your block. Two units in the same plaza can have different options, and an address one street over can have fibre while yours does not. What an address check should tell you
- Which carriers can deliver to the suite, not just the street
- Whether the connection is fibre, coax, fixed wireless or something that needs construction
- Realistic activation dates for each option
- Whether static IPs, symmetrical upload and failover are available on that path
- Whether the offer is a commercial agreement with support terms attached
